Computers, at least at the time of writting, are tools used to make calculations and use digital applications, as a web browser, or a text editor. Most computers made after the 1960s use to some degree Electricity, some don't use a lot, like calculators, some, like desktop computers use a lot, or laptop computers, which use a medium amount of power.
Computers come in all shape and forms, and different computers need/use different things to work. For example, desktop computers need digital storage, RAM memory, processing power via the CPU (Central Processing Unit), and an operational system to run/execute applications, and usually need computer peripherals, like keyboards to type, or mouses to use the mouse cursor.

Making a modern computer by hand or from scratch is difficult, requiring advanced eletronics, hardware and software knowledge and skill, as the field is quite literally about how eletricity interacts with itself in high speeds [Unprofessional], in a customizable manner as dictated by the user and running program.
Uses of a computer
Computers hold a sizable chunk of our life now days. Some of our needs, like entretaiment and [Something that computers make 1000x easier, but isn't necesarily restricted to only computers] are only possible due to our tecnological advancements, like eletrical engineering which have made computers a wide comodity.
Brief history on computers
Computers started as a job title worked by women, they would sit in a room and make dozenz of mathematical calculations and then report back to a over-seer [Could be kinda wrong]. Through the 1930s [maybe], the title got replaced by mechanical machines, using pneumatic systems [Not sure] like vaccum tubes to peform the same operations. With the introduction of the eletrical transisitor around the 1950s (See more about eletronic science), making large and complex eletrical circuits became more and more viable, and the same advancements were carried over to computing, like the Intel 4004, a 4-bit computer which had a transistor count of 2,250 transistors back in 1971, as opposed to Apple's M1 chip, from 2020, at 16,000,000,000 transistors, which is approximately 7,111,111 times more transistors.
