Projectile

A projectile is an object that is propelled by the application of an external force and then moves freely under the influence of gravity and air resistance. Although any objects in motion through space are projectiles, they are commonly found in hunting and warfare, such as a fired bullet, a shot arrow, or a stone tossed from a sling.
Weapons
Projectiles from slings and slingshots usually are round and smooth, and made up of materials such as stone, clay or lead.[1] Bows use arrows as projectiles, whose heads can also be made of different materials.
Firearms, on the other hand, have bullets as projectiles, which depend on a propellant to be shot from the muzzle at a high speed.
