Description

A source of light or heat, typically burning a fuel source. Can be made from ceramics, metal, or other materials. May be powered by oil, kerosene, electricity, or other sources.

Crafting Instructions

Basic Oil Lamp

  1. Using clay and methods described in pottery, create a vessel with a reservoir for oil and a place for a wick.
  2. Fill reservoir with oil.
  3. Create a wick by twisting fibrous material into a tight bundle, and place in oil with a section above the liquid's line.
  4. Allow time for capillary action to wet and saturate the wick.
  5. Light the wick.
