Description

Flax is a plant used in the production of linen textiles. It is tall and grass-like. Its seed pods are small balls filled with smaller seeds which upon maturity release.

Planting, growth and harvest

A well prepared field or growth bed is to be generously sprinkled with the seeds and immediately watered. If grown in a pot or growth bed, it is to be watered once a week. The growth time can be 30-100 days. The flax used for textiles is mature when the bottom half is brown and seed pods yellow.
