Agave (Also known as Century Plants, Dragon's Tongue Orchid, or Maguey in Spanish) is a generic term for multiple genera of monocot plants native to arid regions of the Americas. They're primarily identified by large, fleshy, succulent-like leaves that grow in circles (called rosettes) around it's stem.
Agave species have been used historically and in the present for producing food and fibers
