Glycerine
Glycerine, chemically called glycerol, is a sweet tasting, colorless, odorless, and viscous liquid. It is naturally occuring as the backbone of all triglycerides, and is most commonly produced as a biproduct of soap or biofuel in the reaction depicted below. The production of soap is the same process without methanol.
